Familiar Impudence

Just because you’re so beautiful.

If you could only just consider the two of us.

I know, despite all the rain, that we still sleep well against the wall we’ve put up together during long nights and disposable moments that tear the finest cloth. Do you remember those words you told me that day? That bridge we crossed again that day.  Simply put, lyrics drop from your lips as if you were the solo of a gregarious prayer.  It’s the sweetest sound.  Just because you’re so beautiful in your own world. When you, the rose that never wilts, break down and drop to your knees to the unexpected. Don’t let it throw you off to far.  You’re the only one that is breaking me down like this.  You’re the only one that I’d take a shot on. So unpredictable, but I am hoping to… to take a hold of you.  Would that be out of line?

Oh, no. There’s something staring down my alley from afar. It’s jarring every memory and triggering albums from the past.  Flashes of last night appear. Pulses of this morning throw salt on the wound. Living life was never so contagious before.

Keep me hanging on.

This is for me now. This is for me.
