bright as yellow

Bright….
Current mood: breezy

And you live your life with your arms stretched out.
Eye to eye when speaking.
Enter rooms with great joy shouts,
happy to be meeting.

And bright,
bright,
bright as yellow,
warm as yellow.

And I do not want to be a rose.
I do not wish to be pale pink,
but flower scarlet, flower gold.
And have no thorns to distance me,

but be bright,
bright,
bright as yellow,
warm as yellow.

Even if I’m shouting, even if I’m shouting here
inside.
Even if I’m shouting, do you see that I’m wanting,
that I want to be so
bright,
bright,
bright as yellow,
warm as yellow.

I’m driving. It’s raining. Not just your ordinary drizzle. But a facade of decadence, it’s nature trying to rain on my parade. It’s been a bad enough day as it is. So why delve deeper? Why? I put my heavy right foot down in the midst of all that could and probably will go wrong. Dimensions of over-anxious childhood dreams make cautious souls hark at concoted trances.

You know even if I can’t complain about life as a whole. It’s the fact that my ambitions are being put to the test daily. Left and right. You don’t want me to have this? I don’t even know who you are, but you’re trying to undoubtfully to make this voyage as unyielding and as far from mundane as possible. I applaud you for that. You challenge me; your provacations imply that you want me to become a better person. I won’t fail, omission is something of my past.

Everything, from the way the hard rubber compacted tires touched the wet slippery face of the pavement, screamed insightfulness. You were speaking to me through defiance and greed. I arose, obviously surprising you. I made the pavement my canvas, the water my paint, my imagination my pigment, and the gas pedal the brush. It’s a beautiful day in the rain. Cleanse me of all my drawbacks and hiccups. My life is perfected with imperfections and it will always be that way. No matter what voracious dilemmas, I will remain…..bright as yellow.
